About Eastwood

Eastwood Custom Homes, Inc., began in 1977, incorporating in 1982. Brothers William F. Clous and Ronald F. Clous have built and sold custom and spec houses since the inception of the company. The company has grown over the years to become Northwest Michigan's largest home builder.

Over the years, the company has built office buildings, light industrial buildings, retail strip centers, motels and banks. The company has developed numerous residential subdivisions and condominium projects. The backbone of the company however is residential custom homes. Services are provided to a broad geographic area extending primarily within a 100 mile radius of the Traverse City, Michigan corporate office.

Eastwood's offices in Traverse City houses a sales team, estimators and drafting (using state of the art computer technology), as well as supervisory and administrative staff. Sales agents are also located in Petoskey, MI.

Eastwood employs and equips an excavation crew, a poured wall group and framing crews and finish carpentry. Mechanical needs are subcontracted.

Precision Building Systems, a panelized wall building company was established in 1995. This company produces computer designed wall panels. These wall panels are used by Eastwood Custom Homes in all of their residential and commercial projects where practical. The product is also marketed to lumber yards for use by other developers.

Eastwood's focus over the coming years will be to continue as Northern Michigan's premier single family homebuilder. In addition we will work with businesses to construct their offices, shops and warehouses. The production capacity available in the Precision Building Systems panel plant will allow sales of wall panels for use by other builders and developers for their commercial and residential projects in Michigan, the Midwest and Internationally.
