East Towne

The East Towne development is a mixed-use PUD with an emphasis on senior housing, and includes commerce uses for the neighborhood setting. The 58-acre project site is located along Three Mile Road in Grand Traverse County’s East Bay Township.

 

East Towne Village is the senior housing component of the proposed East Towne development. The development partners for East Towne Village are the same team as developed The Village at Bay Ridge, a similar facility located in Garfield Township. Like Bay Ridge, East Towne Village will offer a continuum of care for adults 55 and older.

 

East Towne Village Senior Congregate Living consists of three 3-story buildings, which will provide 360 apartments. These apartment homes offer fully independent living with the benefit of common living and recreational areas and amenities.

 

East Towne Village Assisted Living facility is part of the continuum of care of this proposed senior community. The facility is comprised of two single story structures containing a total of 100 resident units. This facility will offer a secured environment providing specialized services for the needs of each resident.

 

East Towne’s design incorporates a mixed-use neighborhood commerce area intended to complement the residential component of East Towne as well as the local vicinity. This area is intended to be developed with a mix of retail stores, service businesses, offices and clinics.

 

The East Towne PUD can be considered a gateway to over 200 acres of vacant land to the west and a future connection to Townline Road.
